The head of the Gamalia Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, Alexander Ginsburg, announced that the center's experts have created a new vaccine against the subtypes of the "Omicron" mutant of the Corona virus.
In an interview with the Russian newspaper Izvestia, Ginsburg said: The new vaccine is against the “IB5” subtype, which carries many changes compared to other types, which requires changing its antibody composition, noting that the vaccine also protects against the type “IB1” and “IB2.” Mutants of Omicron.
Ginsburg explained that the new vaccine is already in the center and is currently being discussed how to use it in general circulation.
It is noteworthy that the “Sputnik V” vaccine against the emerging coronavirus, Corona, which was created by Russian experts two years ago, was the first vaccine to be announced in the world and is used in European, Asian and African countries, in the Middle East and Latin America due to its high efficacy against the virus and its lack of danger to humans.
