According to a report by

Bild

, Ankie Spitzer and Ilana Romano wrote a letter on behalf of all the victims' families.

The newspaper quoted from the letter addressed to Bavaria's Prime Minister Markus Söder: "50 years of abuse, lies, humiliation and rejection by the German government and especially the Bavarian authorities are more than enough for us." A dispute over compensation payments to the Families of the victims, Spitzer explained in an interview with

Der Spiegel

Recently, a possible agreement in the conflict had become apparent.

The families of the victims had been promised further payments.

However, Spitzer also found the new offer from the Federal Government, the Free State of Bavaria and the City of Munich to be an “insult”.

A compensation sum of ten million euros is said to have been in the room.

This should be offset against the payments from 1972 and 2002 amounting to around four and a half million euros.
