Palestinian media reported today (Thursday) that the hunger striking detainee, Khalil Awawada, was transferred to Assaf Harofeh Hospital for medical tests.
Awawada, who is affiliated with the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization, appeared in the organization's demands for the cease-fire agreement between it and Israel that brought the end of the "Dawn" operation earlier this week.
Al Awawada is on hunger strike in protest of his continued administrative detention.
The "Adamir" organization, which works for the rights of Palestinian prisoners, claimed that there was a significant deterioration in his health, but no official confirmation of this was given from the Shin Bet Commission or the hospital.
