The noise protection lawsuit from a local resident - Hans Högg's house is only the Amper from the Hölzl Stadium - initially stunned the board of FC Emmering.
President Manfred Schunn is now reacting to the allegations after initially seeing no reason to do so due to existing agreements between the parties involved.
Emmering
- Accordingly, nine months ago there was a round of talks with Mayor Stefan Floerecke and everyone involved.
Agreements and compromises have been made to enable "peaceful coexistence".
The sound level limiter for the loudspeaker system in the stadium promised by his predecessor Thomas Biersack has now been installed and is in operation.
Schunn: "For years we have been trying to put ourselves in the position of our neighbors, because we get along well with all the residents around the very beautiful and time-honored Hölzl Stadium and want to win as many fans as possible for our sport."

By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular

Schunn thinks he knows one thing: "It used to be no quieter when the 'old' Emmeringers wanted to yell at the footballers for better performances without sound limiters, the old sound system screeched across the pitch and significantly more spectators filled the stands." Now if anyone speaking of a "worsening of the situation", he must have erased the preceding decades from his memory.
The main allegation of the complaint relates to "party noise until late at night" which is said to come from the outside of the clubhouse.
According to Schunn, however, the new landlady has been making sure “for a long time” that as few guests as possible stay outside after 10 p.m.
The structural change to the pergola, which was also criticized, had already been approved by the district office in 2004.
Therefore, Högg's lawsuit is not directed against the FCE, but against the Free State.
The pergola was recently renovated and newly insulated.
Schunn: "After football matches, it's part of club life that there's discussion and the occasional celebration.
But always with consideration and decency, of course.”
What the club can't do anything about (“And to be honest, it doesn't want to either”) is to take away the joy of football fans from the sport.
Because this is part of what a football game can never be done "in peace".
"I doubt whether very brief noise peaks - such as a goal celebration - represent a nuisance or the commotion of the youngest players, which has already been criticized.
Nevertheless, we are of course aware of our responsibility for our entire environment and try to constantly improve our voluntary work.”
