Riot during arrest in Riem: murder investigations against 16-year-olds after drug deal

Five days after Riem's ​​failed drug deal, in which a 21-year-old was killed over the weekend, it's clear: The man from Coburg and a friend were probably lured into a trap.

It is now being determined because of murder and robbery – the police have all three suspects.

When the main perpetrator was arrested on Wednesday evening, however, the situation escalated completely.

The riot broke out around 7:25 p.m. on Human Rights Square in Messestadt.

There, plainclothes police officers targeted the 16-year-old, who is said to have fatally injured the 21-year-old from Coburg on Saturday.

When he was arrested, the suspect put up a massive fight – even after he had already been pinned down.

"He tried to break away," said a spokesman for the Bureau.

20 men attack the police - also with pepper spray

Apparently 20 guys and men were watching what was going on who actually had nothing to do with the matter itself.

They stormed the police anyway: the mob attacked the officers with their fists and pepper spray to save the 16-year-old from being arrested.

However, that didn't work.

As massive reinforcements - 30 more patrols - approached, the situation resolved.

Of the 20 rioters who ran in all directions, five were arrested.

The 16 to 23-year-old suspects were known to the police and each had up to 30 previous convictions.

She is now being investigated for serious breach of the peace, attempted prisoner release and dangerous bodily harm.

Three of them walked before the magistrate on Thursday.

The 16-year-old, who was at the center of the riots, is the third suspect in the Riemer homicide.

As the public prosecutor has confirmed, investigations into murder are now underway.

According to chief prosecutor Anne Leiding, greed was a characteristic of the murder.

The suspicion: The three people from Munich – in addition to the 16-year-old with German-Israeli roots, an Iraqi (17) and a German-Pole (16) – never intended to sell the two people from Coburg drugs on Saturday evening.

According to reports, it was about 100 grams of marijuana, for which the North Franconians had 1000 euros in cash with them.

While the younger Coburger was waiting outside, the 21-year-old went to a property with the 16-year-old main perpetrator who was arrested on Wednesday evening.

That's where the deadly attack took place: The man from Coburg was critically injured with a pointed weapon.

The young man succumbed to his injuries in hospital on Sunday.

The Presidium cannot yet say conclusively whether a knife was stabbed: According to the spokesman, the weapon has not yet been secured.

The police came to the perpetrators because the 17-year-old had turned himself in on Tuesday and given information.

The German-Polish accomplice was then arrested without hesitation on Wednesday – in his parents' apartment.
