And their musical ear has proven that art and creativity are not hampered by a handicap and are not restricted to the sighted, and they made the stage of the Arab Cultural Center in Kafr Sousa a space for the artistic literary musical evening (Jadak Al Ghaith).

The evening, which was held by the Directorate of Culture of Damascus and the Arab Cultural Center in Kafr Sousa, under the supervision of Dina Fares, included a group of musical and lyrical paragraphs and representative paintings that included an introduction to Damascene and Andalusian literature and art, presented by a group of children and young people with visionary spirit.

The young Amjad Kedah presented a tragic representation of the character of Charlie Chaplin in an updated style, where he explained in a statement to the SANA reporter that the character mixes between mistress, tragedy, poetry and prose, and summed up its goal by saying: “Love is able to restore to us all that we have lost.”

He pointed out that the participating children are innately gifted and have a variety of skills, and their visual impairment did not prevent them from practicing their hobby.

For her part, Nour Al-Bayati, one of the organizers of the evening, which was held with the participation of the music team Sees a Melody for the Blind, explained that they were keen on ensuring that the children were imbued with the material they present with their sense, stressing the need to integrate the blind in various creative fields to enhance their self-confidence, potential and personal abilities.

The evening was preceded by a joint exhibition of the two teens, Layan Al-Tal and Banan Al-Farm, which included about 24 paintings.

As for Banan, who pursued her talent since the age of six, she focused in her paintings on drawing elderly people who symbolize wisdom, and she sent a message that every human being must first challenge himself and not give in to fear and shame and always strive to spread his talents and abilities.
