The head of the administration of the Zaporozhye region Yevgeny Palitsky announced that the forces of the Kyiv regime bombed the nuclear waste storage site of the district nuclear plant.
“The forces of the Kyiv regime dealt a blow to the storage site of spent nuclear fuel to cause a dirty explosion on our territory,” Balitsky told Rossiya 24 TV, noting that thousands of tons of radioactive waste are stored there and apparently Kyiv intends to make “the whole area unfit for life.”
And Palitsky warned that if this happens, the situation will be similar to what happened during the Chernobyl reactor disaster, explaining that the Zaporozhye Provincial Administration has developed a plan to face any emergency.
Earlier, a member of the Zaporozhye region's board of directors, Vladimir Rogov, warned that the Kyiv regime was preparing for a major provocation at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in order to blackmail Europe with the nuclear threat.
The Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that the bombing of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant by Kyiv forces was an act of nuclear terrorism that could lead to a catastrophe on a scale far exceeding the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
