Erding
– Stars visit the Cineplex Erding: The actors Sebastian Bezzel and Simon Schwarz as well as the author Rita Falk stopped by the cinema on Wednesday to present the Eberhofer film “Guglhupfgeschwader”.
Because the drive there took a while, the visitors to the performance in the largest hall with 190 seats had to be patient.
And because there were still appointments to be made afterwards, there were only ten minutes for a short chat in front of the spectators.
(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Erding newsletter.)
Bestselling author Falk was delighted with the warm welcome.
It was the last day of the cinema tour that has already taken you to Hamburg, Berlin or Cologne.
Falk revealed that at the end of each book, she flirts with "ending the whole thing."
But then she goes on tour "with these two crazy people" and hits them with a "wave of sympathy, love and enthusiasm": "And then I come home and think to myself: We'll write one more thing."
"Guglhupfgeschwader": Straight to number 1 in the German cinema charts
That pleased the fans, since "Guglhupfgeschwader" is already the eighth film about village policeman Franz Eberhofer (Bezzel) and his ex-colleague Rudi Birkenberger (Schwarz).
And the success proves everyone involved right: The film shot straight to number 1 in the German cinema charts.
Schwarz said that it takes around 30 days of shooting for an Eberhofer film.
That's a lot of professional work every day, and no matter how much the strips make the viewers laugh: There's hardly any laughter on the set, Schwarz said, "because we know that we just won't finish it or that a scene will go bad".
Going to the cinema - "It's different than just watching a film.
You have to pull yourself together, you sit in a room with strangers, share emotions.
That's culture," enthused Bezzel and also promoted buying books from the local bookseller.
How about, for example, Eberhofer's eleventh case, “Rendezvous Rendezvous”?
As a kind of preparation for 2023, because this book is also coming to the cinema screen.
Filming will start in September, revealed Bezzel and promised: "We'll be done by the summer and then we'll come back here." Then hopefully for a little longer.
