Erding – The Kolping Family Erding made a generous donation to the Sophienhospice.
The purchase of a Snoezelen wagon including extensive equipment amounting to almost 2300 euros was completely financed by the Kolping family.
The equipment of this sensory car serves the sensitive perception and at the same time relaxation of the patients.
Light therapy, relaxing music, scented oils and aromas, towels, tactile objects and much more speak and stimulate the senses and cause a feeling of well-being, security, contentment and balance.
An indispensable utensil for the hospital and its patients, which has proven itself in almost daily use since it opened.
Already in the autumn of last year, the board of directors of the Kolping Family was able to get an idea of the so important and valuable facility during a “shell tour”.
Even then, the decision was made to contribute meaningfully and sustainably with a generous donation.
This has now happened.
The amount donated came largely from the proceeds from the annual collection of clothing and waste paper in the city area.
