The race for the Likud list is at its peak • In the morning the choice of the 78,000 incumbents will be decided • Did the deals lose or win? It is still too early to know • In the meantime, it has been decided to suspend interviews in Likud • MKs in the party will brief their people for fear of fakes: "Watch closely that they don't steal us" • Current reports

The drama in the Likud continues:

the counting of the votes of the voters in the primaries of the Likud party continued into the night, and in the background the estimates are increasing that a number of senior members of the party will find themselves in the second, third and possibly fourth ten.

A total of 79,735 functionaries voted yesterday (Wednesday) in the party's primary elections, which is 58% of Likud members.

The final results are expected to be published in the morning.

At the same time, MKs in Likud make sure that there will be no election theft in the count, and therefore some of them brief their observers and people at the polling stations: "Watch closely that they don't steal us." In the meantime, the party decided to suspend interviews.

During the night, interim results were published, according to which Yariv Levin holds first place, followed by Eli Cohen, Yoav Galant, Dodi Amsalem, Yoav Kish, Nir Barkat, Haim Katz, David Bitan and Miri Regev.

As I recall, yesterday the sample of Shlomo Filber and Zuriel Sharon was published through Direct Polls, according to which it appears that Yariv Levin, Amir Ohana, Yoav Kish, David Amsalem and Yoav Galant reached the top five.

A senior member of Likud told Israel Hayom: "The number of voters is huge, 80 thousand voters is crazy. A huge turnout in the middle of the summer. This means that sixty thousand free voters came to vote and the deals collapsed. There was no such thing in Likud. The business collapsed. This is a different party , no businessmen, no deals, no vote contractors. A free party. People choose according to values and ideology."

According to him, "this is a great indication for the upcoming elections as well."

"I believe we will have a great Likud team."

The chairman of the party, Binyamin Netanyahu, voted at noon yesterday together with his wife Sara at the ballot box in the exhibition grounds. He said: "It is a holiday for the State of Israel and for Likud - the central party of the national camp.

If we want to avoid another round of elections, we need a big Likud party, for sure we will get a great Likud team.

There are great people who know the craft of leading the country.

There are thousands of functionaries and I will choose the right one.

The voting percentages are not good enough, so I call on companies and Likud members not to stay at home - to go out and vote!"

According to the Likud election system, in order to ensure the renewal of the list and the introduction of new forces into the Knesset - the list consists of a series of placements intended for representatives of districts and sectors, to which former members of the Knesset cannot be screwed, but only new candidates.

The choice is made by the officials of the movement, where each official can choose only the representative of the district in which he lives.
