Occupied Jerusalem-SANA

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed its call on the international community to translate its rejection of settlements into immediate practical measures and steps that oblige the Israeli occupation to stop it immediately.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the Israeli occupation’s announcement to establish a new settlement in Salfit in the West Bank falls within the framework of a racist colonial expansion plan aimed at transforming all settlements perched on the lands of the cities of Salfit and Qalqilya into a single settlement bloc linked to another settlement in the south of Nablus and extending deep into the Palestinian lands in Ramallah, from the north to the Palestinian Jordan Valley, and is linked to the settlements established in the 1948 occupied Palestinian territories.

The Foreign Ministry pointed out that there is not much time left for the international community to continue the policy of double standards because the occupation continues the crime of settlement, cuts the parts of the West Bank, and turns the Palestinian areas into isolated besieged islands suffocated by settlements, checkpoints and military towers to implement the colonial annexation schemes and closing the door permanently to any opportunity to establish the state independent Palestinian Authority, with Jerusalem as its capital.

Earlier today, the occupation authorities announced a plan to establish a new settlement on the lands of Deir Istiya town in the city of Salfit.
