The head of the Supreme Judicial Committee for Elections, Judge Counselor Jihad Murad, confirmed that the number of applications for candidates for local council elections is increasing significantly.
Judge Murad said that the number of candidates for the local council elections in Homs governorate exceeded 8000, Aleppo 6000 candidates, Hama 3500, and Damascus countryside 2900, and the submission of applications is continuing with intensity.
