A 16-year-old young man died on the night of Wednesday to Thursday, in Saint-Gervais, a small town near Magny-en-Vexin, in Val-d'Oise, on the border of Oise.
He succumbed to his gunshot wounds.
The facts took place at 1:15 a.m., during a festive gathering.
Firefighters were notified and attempted to revive her at the scene.
The death of the victim was finally declared on the spot shortly after by the doctor of the Smur (mobile emergency and resuscitation structure).
Five people are involved without knowing, at this stage, the circumstances of the tragedy and the possible responsibilities of each.
They are four adults and one minor.
They will be seen during the day by a psychological cell.
