Former soccer player Stefan Aigner now lives in Starnberg.

He offers personal training and football support training for youngsters.

Starnberg

– His almost 15-year professional soccer journey, which took him to Denver in the American state of Colorado, is over.

Stefan Aigner (34), the former captain of TSV 1860 Munich, has "finally arrived home", as he says.

At home: This is now Starnberg, where he has recently been living with his wife Laura, his two children and retriever "Luna".

"A great place for my children and the dog, they love Lake Starnberg as much as I do.

I've found wonderful running routes by the lake, I like nature, the proximity to Munich and now, in summer, of course, one or the other beer garden in the Fünfseenland region," enthuses the native of Munich.

"Aiges" played 121 times for Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga from 2012 to 2016, it was his most successful time in sport.

The "Ur-Löwe" played for 1860 Munich in the 2nd division about as often.

The 2017 descent was the darkest chapter in the winger's career.

After that, he no longer wanted to play football in Germany and “escaped” to the States, attacking for the Colorado Rapids in Major League Soccer (MLS).

He also played for Wacker Burghausen, Arminia Bielefeld, KFC Uerdingen 05 and most recently SV Wehen Wiesbaden before a long-term inflammation of the pubic bone forced him to retire.

Aigner would now like to pass on his experience - but not on the sidelines of a Bundesliga club, but as a "personal trainer for everyone", as he says.

This year he was relegated with the lions from the 2nd Bundesliga.

“No matter what age, no matter what level of fitness.

Anyone who wants to do something for themselves can contact me.

I then come to the customer's home, or we work in a private fitness studio in Starnberg - it's up to you," explains the ex-professional.

There is no need to be afraid of having to “put the pedal to the metal” immediately: “I want to make people fit with exercises specially tailored to them.

I take care of them personally and individually.” And he emphasizes: “The most important thing is to have fun and enjoy yourself.”

In addition, clubs can book the former Bundesliga player for individual football support training in the youth field.

He was already working for FT Starnberg, which Aigner has been doing regularly for his home club, TSV Otterfing, for which he will appear with his friends in the district league - at least until winter - "for fun".

My feet are itching again.
