“Contemplating the Way of Saint James”: what does this expression mean?

When the night is clear and the sky clear of all clouds, looking up, you can see a long whitish streak that streaks the entire surface of the starry vault: the Milky Way.

Landmark of pilgrims in space, it received the name of Way of Saint-Jacques in many regions of France.

But if this name is the most common in Catholic Europe, by extension, Saint James has sometimes been replaced by another saint such as Saint John or Saint Peter, and with the form of language specific to each country, we come across the Kemin Saint -Jacques in French Flanders, the Voi Sin-Djâk' in Wallonia, the Camin de Sant-Jaque in the South, the Cami de San-Tsaquès in Quercy, the Camin de San-Giacimo in Menton, the Pas de Saint-Jacques in Guernsey, the Tsemein de Sein-Dzâquet in the Tarentaise, the Hent Sant-Jakez in Lower Brittany.
