Astronomically high prices make only the super rich in Hamburg sit up and take notice when looking for real estate.
For them, too, the potential purchase means that they have to dig deep into their pockets.
For example, for a villa in Harvestehude - there is no more expensive house on the real estate market in the entire Hanseatic city, reports 24hamburg.de.

Hamburg's luxury house in Harvestehude: It is currently the most expensive villa in the Hanseatic city
Built in 1894 and still today, the villa in Harvestehude in Hamburg-Eimsbüttel is reminiscent of the Art Nouveau style of the 19th and 20th centuries, even after it has been renovated.
Curved, abstract patterns adorn the walls, bringing bygone styles of art and architecture into the modern age.
The villa in Harvestehude promises 650 square meters of living space.
As TikToker "immofelix" reveals in its latest clip, this corresponds to a total of eleven rooms in which you can fully enjoy the luxurious view of the Alster:
It goes without saying that buying the property will be anything but cheap.
In any case, Hamburg has the reputation, at least outside the city, of being one of the most expensive cities in Germany.
Even if indications point to a gradual end to the price boom for real estate in Hamburg, the impression with regard to real estate purchases is not misleading.
The increased real estate prices made Hamburg the second most expensive city in Germany in 2021.
Only Munich is more expensive.
A study recently showed that many people are leaving Hamburg (again) – partly because of the high housing costs.
In addition, they could be the reason why others directly refer to Hamburg as the “most repellent” in Germany.

A four-storey villa with, among other things, a garage for up to five cars also needs to be financed.
For the property in Harvestehude you pay 19.9 million euros.
A plot of land measuring around 1,100 square meters, sold last year, shows, however, that even in Hamburg things can be even more expensive.
According to reports in the Hamburger Morgenpost, a buyer was actually found who was willing to pay a whopping 27.5 million euros.

The property on Elbchaussee, built in 2008, has a total area of 7217 square meters and 14 rooms.
Corona pandemic or high inflation: In the current times one could assume that even the super-rich refrain from such an expensive investment.
As the NDR had reported, it was sold anyway.
In the same way, a property in HafenCity changed hands in 2021 – for around eleven million euros.
Only the invasion of Russia in the Ukraine and the scarce and expensive construction and raw materials would have caused the demand for luxury properties to fluctuate somewhat in the past few months.
So the question is when the villa in Harvestehude will find a new owner.
