An 18-year-old threatened a person with a larger knife on Thursday evening.
After a warning shot by the police, the man initially fled.
Peiting - On August 11 at around 7 p.m., a local resident alerted the police and reported that three young men were arguing on Kleberweg in Peiting.
According to the police report, one of the men was holding a large knife.
He verbally threatened his opponent with death and supported his threats with a knife.
When the police patrols arrived, an 18-year-old known to the police from the old district of Schongau was found kneeling on a person lying motionless on the ground.
The 18-year-old had a larger knife in his hand.
When the 18-year-old saw the patrol car, he fled.
He was asked to put the knife down and at the same time was threatened with the use of a firearm.
As he ignored this, a warning shot was fired by the police officers.
18-year-old arrested after escape in Peiting
The 18-year-old nevertheless continued to flee and was later temporarily arrested as part of the manhunt at the middle school.
An immediate check of the person lying on the ground revealed that he was unharmed.
As part of the further investigation, the police suspected that there were still narcotics in the 18-year-old's apartment.
A search of the apartment was carried out by order of the judge, during which various narcotics were seized.
At the same time, the public prosecutor ordered that the 18-year-old be brought before the investigating judge today.
He is being investigated for threats and violation of the Narcotics Act.
