The IDF spokesman published a video in which an observation post of the terrorist organization is seen while a girl is in the area along with another person. The soldiers in the tank who were supposed to attack the position ceased fire, until the innocents moved away from the area. During the opening course of Operation Dawn, the crew of one of the tanks ceased fire, after the crew members noticed a girl who might have been harmed by the attack - this is what emerged this evening (Friday) from a document released by the IDF spokesman. In the video you can see the girl walking around with an older man near the checkpoint The Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip. When it left the area, firing began at the position and it was destroyed.

The commander of a company in the 82nd Battalion, Major B, who participated in the attack told about the incident: "The tank commander went to contact and reported the presence of non-involved people in the area and stopped the shooting.

Wait until they leave, after a few minutes the team went up to the position and successfully destroyed the target.

During the operation, the fighters acted with professionalism and punctuality, as we expect from them."

Earlier this week, the IDF spokesman published a document of the assassination of the senior Islamic Jihad official, Khaled Mansour. In the video from the aircraft, the voices of the soldiers can be heard, demanding to stop the operation, because they spotted children near the building where the terrorist was hiding. The attack was stopped three times until the children moved away from the area, then the aircraft attacked the structure and eliminated the senior member of the terrorist organization.
