Kempten/Allgäu – having fun playing, saving money when you go to a restaurant and doing something good at the same time – the “Allgäu Gastronomy Quartet” has all this in common.
Having fun playing, saving money when you go to a restaurant and doing something good at the same time - all this is what the "Allgäuer Gastronomie Quartet" combines, which is currently offered by the two Kempten service clubs "Ladies' Circle 19" and "Round Table 141".
The card game is available for ten euros, and the proceeds go to the St. Nikolaus children's hospice in Bad Grönenbach.
The "Allgäuer Gastronomie Quartet" is a quartet with 32 popular inns, restaurants, cafés, bars and pubs, mainly in Kempten, but also in the districts of Ober- and Ostallgäu.
With the "Brauereigasthof Engel" in Isny, the game even extends beyond national borders.
You can play the classic quartet variant (three players or more) or the trump variant (two players or more).
Each game card also contains a coupon - for example for a free drink.

Among other things, exciting questions have to be answered about the opening year of the respective restaurant, the number of types of beer or the distance to the hunter's monument on the Grünten.
The exact rules of the game are on the back of the first card.
But the cards aren't just part of a quartet game.
In addition, each card also includes a voucher coupon that can be redeemed when visiting the respective restaurateur.
The coupons are, for example, free drinks, two-for-one promotions or a free cappuccino after a meal.
Each game is equivalent to 100 euros.
social commitment
The game is published with a circulation of 1500 pieces by the two service clubs “Ladies' Circle 19” and “Round Table 141”, who work closely together.
The members, currently eight women and 12 men, are not only committed to regular social gatherings and joint activities, but are also very consciously committed to social causes as part of a global organization.
At the beginning of June, for example, the young women collected over 11,000 euros for the Kemptener Tafel at the "Tag der Musik" in Kempten together with the other service clubs, or they warned of knockout drops with information stands in Kempten's nightlife.

"We are a diverse group," says Maria Langenmayr, currently President of the Kemptener Circle.
Any interested woman between the ages of 18 and 45 can become a member.
"Anyone can be there," says President Langenmayr, who would be happy to welcome newcomers.
"We urgently need young people," she explains.
The service club attaches great importance to being party-politically and denominationally neutral.
The months of work at the "Allgäuer Gastronomie Quartet" shows how serious the young women are about their social commitment.
On the one hand, the members had to clean the doorsteps of the local restaurateurs and explain a lot, since the game was also new territory for the companies.
Accordingly, the reactions were mixed, with the positive ones predominating.
On the other hand, the "ladies" had to come up with categories, collect the necessary information - such as how far away the hunter's monument on the Grünten is from the "Drei Tannen" inn in Füssen - and take care of the photos and contracts with the participating catering establishments.
In order to take over the production costs, a sponsor had to be found in the Allgäu brewery.
Now the men and women of both clubs hope that their game will find many buyers.
According to Langenmayr, around a third of the edition has already been sold.
Anyone who would like to buy an "Allgäu Gastronomy Quartet" and thus support the St. Nikolaus children's hospice in Bad Grönenbach can do so from the participating restaurateurs or from the two clubs at the e-mail address allgaeuer_gq@gmx.de.
