The Netto store on the eastern outskirts of Altenstadt wants to expand from 600 to 1,200 square meters of retail space.
The aim is to create an enlarged range including a bakery with an integrated café.
The council has now given the green light.

But not with a new building like the Feneberg market a little further on.
The area is to be enlarged by adding an extension to the existing building.
The sales area extension to 1200 square meters for the discounter does not exceed the sales area permitted by state planning.
However, a change to the development plan "On the southern Keltenstraße" is necessary.
26 statements on 31 pages
The landscape architect Martin Eberle from Mindelheim who was commissioned with the project explained the individual components of the development plan at the most recent meeting of the Altenstadt municipal council.
The focus was on the comments received from the public bodies.
On the 31 pages, there were 26 statements in the second amendment to the development plan, which the architect explained word for word.

The Office for Food, Agriculture and Forestry in Weilheim points out that the agricultural use of the adjacent areas must not be impaired.
And that agricultural emissions are to be tolerated in any case.
The Federal Office for Infrastructure, which is responsible for the military properties of the Bundeswehr, points out that noise emissions are to be expected in the planning area.
It is pointed out that complaints and claims for compensation will not be accepted.
At least one tree must be planted for every 500 square meters of space
In its statement, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria says that securing supply close to consumers is to be rated positively.
Garages and outbuildings may only be built within the areas determined by the building limits, parking spaces also outside.

The Water Management Office Weilheim-Schongau took a position on groundwater, contaminated sites and soil protection, water supply and wastewater disposal.
Altenstadt's Mayor Andreas Kögl said that such extensive statements should actually have been expected.
According to Martin Eberle, no statements were made as part of the public participation.
Finally, the municipal council approved this draft with the designation "final version" with minor changes and decided the second change of the development plan "An der southern Keltenstraße" as a statute.
The corresponding land use plan still needs to be adjusted as part of the correction.
