A 25-year-old woman was raped on Thursday August 11 in Paris (12th arrondissement),
Le Figaro
learned from a source familiar with the matter.
The facts took place shortly after 3 a.m. near rue Erard.
The victim explained to the police that he had been forcibly dragged into a dead end by an African-looking man when she was very close to the “Reuilly-Diderot” metro station.
Once away, her attacker imposed vaginal penetration on her before fleeing.

Very shocked, the victim was unable to indicate the exact location of the crime to the police.
The young woman was transported to Saint-Antoine hospital (Paris 12th).
The investigation was entrusted to the 2nd judicial police district (2nd DPJ).
According to a study by the National Observatory of Delinquency and Criminal Responses (ONDRP) published in 2016, 12% of rapes committed in Paris take place in the street (compared to 57% in residential areas) and 73% take place the night.
