A group of 281 migrants were evacuated on Friday August 12 from a makeshift camp near the Ourcq canal in Paris, for shelter, AFP learned from concordant sources.
The operation took place Friday morning, rue Delphine Seyrig in the 19th arrondissement, in the presence of the France Terre d'Asile association.

" were taken care of, directed to reception accommodation in the Paris region, where they "
will benefit from an assessment of their administrative situation, social, health and administrative support before being re-oriented with regard to their situation
”, indicates the prefecture of Ile-de-France in a press release.
Of these 281 migrants, 55 will be accommodated in the provinces, a police source told AFP.
But nearly 80 of them did not have places and had to be left on the streets, she adds.

Still according to the same source, around sixty so-called "
vulnerable
" people - families and isolated women - were referred to day centers in Paris, including 23 adults and 19 children accompanied by the Parisian services of the Assistance to the Homeless (Uasa) and the Department of Solidarity (DSOL).
According to the regional prefecture, 3,493 people have thus been sheltered since the beginning of the year, within the framework of 13 operations carried out by the State services.
