According to "Iran International": the Iranian Foreign Ministry announced that the Vienna talks did not produce results • The ninth round of discussions is characterized by a certain suspicion - after months of talks that ended in a dead end

The international news channel "Iran International" reported this evening (Friday) that the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the negotiations between the powers and the Islamic Republic of Iran as part of the "Vienna Talks" did not yield results, and that they are now "looking for other means" in order to try and reach an agreement.

As you may recall, during the week the parties met in the Austrian capital for the ninth round of talks in a last ditch effort to revive the original nuclear agreement.

However, after days of discussions, the parties returned to the capitals to discuss the drafts that the powers forwarded to the Iranian representatives.

The ninth round of discussions, which began last week, is characterized by shared suspicion against the background of the impasse the talks have reached after months of contacts.

The regime in Tehran demands the removal of all sanctions on its economy, as well as the termination of the investigation by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) regarding a suspicious substance that was allegedly previously found in several facilities on Iranian territory.

Also, Tehran demands that the US remove the Revolutionary Guards from the list of terrorist organizations, which Washington refuses.

The Iranian team is headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bakri Khani, and on the other side are present the representatives of the countries that signed the original nuclear agreement from 2015 - including China, Russia, Germany, Great Britain and France.

The US is participating in the negotiations "indirectly" through President Joe Biden's representative for the talks, Robert Malley.

The entire process is overseen by Enrique Mora, the deputy commissioner for foreign policy of the European Union.
