The work of the Damascus countryside communications branch continues to provide telephone and internet services to all subscribers in the governorate and return them to the areas, villages and towns that have been liberated from terrorism.
Director of Communications in Damascus Countryside, Eng. Hussein Al-Aweiti, announced in a statement to SANA correspondent that the Duma Communications Center has been provided with 404 “ADSL” internet gates to communicate and 1212 fixed phone numbers have been installed since the center was put into service on January 3 this year to date, in addition to installing a device. MSEN” has a capacity of 1000 gates distributed over 4 access units serving specific areas and specific streets to achieve justice in distribution.
Al-Owaiti pointed out that work is currently underway to provide Internet services through microwave links in all rural areas to provide services in areas where the possibility of implementation via optical fibers is not available, where large facilities and events are served with this technology.
Douma call center services were launched at the beginning of this year with a capacity of 7000 telephone numbers, 4000 of which are through copper networks, and 3000 numbers work with “Fixed LTE” technology, which are wireless integrated with high-speed broadband gateways on the G4 service covering areas far from the center through a tower. Its height is 50 meters and provides internet services to the people of the city at speeds of up to 20 megabytes per second. The total cost of rehabilitating the center has reached 2.5 billion Syrian pounds.
