Spastic seizure behind the wheel: 19-year-old threatens two criminal charges

A 19-year-old crashed into a parked car with her sister on Thursday when she had a spastic seizure - she now faces two criminal charges.
Unterhaching – On Thursday evening, a 19-year-old crashed into a parked car.
The young woman from Taufkirchen was driving with her 16-year-old sister on Unterhachinger Hauptstrasse when her physical condition deteriorated, police said.
According to her own statements, she had a spastic attack and lost control of her Skoda Octavia car.
The two women and the Skada crashed head-on into a parked Hyundai i30.

The impact was so violent that both cars were totaled and both sisters ended up in the hospital.
The 19-year-old driver came to the Großhadern Clinic with minor burns, traumatic brain injury and pressure marks from the seat belt, according to the police.
The 16-year-old sister was not seriously injured, but she was taken to the Hauner Children's Hospital with pressure marks from the belt and pain in her upper right arm.
Both sisters spent the night in the hospital.

There was damage of around 35,000 euros.
The Unterhaching fire brigade was deployed to secure the road and clean up the scene of the accident.
Two criminal proceedings were initiated against the 19-year-old driver: for negligent bodily harm to her sister and endangering road traffic.
