The Minister of Finance, Avigdor Lieberman, published regulations last night (Thursday) regulating the provision of compensation to businesses in the south, for the payment of wages to employees who were absent during Operation Dawn, in the period between August 2nd and 8th.
According to the published regulations, compensation will be given to traders for the loss of wages paid to workers, in the area up to 40 kilometers away from the perimeter fence surrounding the Gaza Strip, and who meet the specified conditions.

Considering the relatively limited number of days of combat, it was proposed to establish that the compensation in this outline would be a fixed amount of NIS 430 per work day for each employee.
In addition, it was determined that a necessary condition for compensation is the payment of wages to the employee during the fighting days.
The regulations will be submitted later for approval by the finance committee.
