The Italian rights have launched an offensive to reassure Rome's international partners.
While their program focuses on
"the national interest and the fatherland",
it nevertheless gives a leading importance to Europe.
The first two points of the document published on August 11 are dedicated to the Old Continent.
Credited with more than 45% of the voting intentions for the legislative elections of September 25, the coalition of the rights wants to present to voters and abroad a reassuring face.
Giorgia Meloni and his Brothers of Italy party, Matteo Salvini and his League as well as Silvio Berlusconi promise, in the event of victory,
“respect for international alliances, commitments to the Atlantic Alliance and support for Ukraine in the face of the 'invasion of the Russian Federation'
.
The right-wing leaders also recall their
“full adherence to the process of European integration”
