The weather in Hong Kong has been unstable recently. The Observatory issued an amber rainstorm warning signal this morning (12th).

The Observatory predicts that a broad trough of low pressure will continue to bring showers to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea tomorrow (13th).

It is expected that the high-altitude anticyclone will intensify slightly early next week, and the sky along the South China coast will improve, but the high-altitude disturbance will bring showers to the area again in the middle of next week.

In addition, just after the tropical storm "Mulan" dissipated, the medium-term weather forecast of the Central Meteorological Observatory in the Mainland predicted that one or two typhoons would form in the northwestern Pacific Ocean and the South China Sea in the next 10 days.

The Observatory said a broad trough of low pressure is bringing showers and thunderstorms to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea.

In Hong Kong, more than 30 mm of rainfall has generally been recorded in various districts in the past few hours. The Observatory also issued an amber rainstorm warning signal at 8:40 this morning and cancelled it at 12:15 noon.

The Observatory forecasts cloudy weather in Hong Kong this afternoon and tonight with showers and a few squally thunderstorms.

The outlook is mostly cloudy tomorrow with a few showers.

There will be sunshine for a short period of time during the day; on Sunday (14th), there will be sunshine for part of the time, with one or two showers, and the temperature also rises to between 28 and 32 degrees.

However, the weather will become unstable again from next Wednesday (17th), and it is expected to be mostly cloudy with a few showers.

In addition, the Observatory stated that at 12 noon today, tropical storm "Mirai" gathered about 630 kilometers south-southwest of Tokyo, and is expected to move north-northeast at a speed of about 18 kilometers per hour, moving towards Honshu, Japan.
