The jockey Sham al-Assad was crowned the Republic Championship for show jumping for the upper category “Big Tour”, which concluded its competitions today at the Al-Basel Club in Dimas in Damascus countryside.
The jockey, Hammam Al-Khouli, ranked first in the upper category, which took place at a height of 140 cm, while the jockey Hammam Al-Shehab came in third place.
The jockey Aya Hamsho also won the middle category title for a height of 130 cm, leaving the second place for the rider Laith Al-Ali, and the jockey Hammam Al-Khouli came third.
The title of the junior category championship, with a height of 120 cm, went to the knight, Lieutenant Colonel Mahmoud Al-Masry, followed by the jockey Ahmed Al-Masry, the jockey supporter of the buffalo, the jockey Ghaly Al-Zeibaq and the jockey Sham Al-Assad.
The judging system of the Republic Championship for the categories of “Small, Medium, and Big” stipulates that the results of the jockeys in the matches they played during the days of the tournament for each category separately, the least mistakes and the fastest time in the final in the event of a tie between the jockeys by mistakes, bearing in mind that the final match for the three categories took place for two asymmetric runs.
The championship titles for the other categories went to the jockey Hassan Mahmoud for the amator category, with a height of 110 cm, the jockey Hassan Al-Naqari in the mini-tour category, with a height of 90 cm, and the jockey, Jana Ghobash, in the children's category, with a height of 80 cm.
