Sources told The Washington Post that the FBI was seeking classified nuclear documents related to nuclear weapons when Trump's Florida residence was raided.

The FBI sought to locate classified nuclear weapons-related documents, among other items, when agents raided former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago compound in Palm Beach, Florida this week, people familiar with the matter told The Washington Post. with the investigation.

The people did not provide additional details to the Post about what agents were looking for or if any documents were recovered.

US Attorney General Merrick Garland said Thursday that he "personally approved" the decision to seek a warrant to search Trump's home in Florida.

“The department does not make that decision lightly.
