Gauting - During the night a thief had an accident with a stolen car in Gauting.
As the police in Gauting explained, a resident on Bergstrasse in Gauting was able to observe around 3.30 a.m. how the driver of an Opel Astra had apparently been trying to turn around in the Bergstrasse turning hammer for a long time.
During this unsuccessful turning maneuver, the Astra driver touched the rear left bumper of a vehicle that was parked properly on the right-hand side of the road, which could be heard.
When a patrol arrived in Bergstrasse shortly after the resident had reported it, a 29-year-old man from Freiburg was behind the wheel of the accident vehicle, whose engine was no longer running.
A breath alcohol test carried out immediately showed a value of 0.66 per mille, a drug test also carried out was negative.
Driver from Freiburg does not have a driver's license and steals a car at Pippinplatz in Gauting
As it turned out during the recording of the complaint at the Gautinger inspection, the 29-year-old does not have a valid driver's license.
During his interrogation, the man stated of his own accord that he had never had a driver's license due to his limited vision.
In the meantime, a 47-year-old man from Gauting reported to the Gautinger Wache and stated that his vehicle had been stolen at Pippinplatz during the night.
It quickly turned out that the Opel Astra from Bergstrasse was the stolen vehicle from Pippinplatz.
The material damage caused by the accident to the two vehicles should amount to around 3,500 euros.
Investigations into theft, endangering traffic and driving without a license
Investigations are now underway against the 29-year-old from Freiburg for theft of a car, endangering road traffic as a result of alcohol and physical defects and driving without a driver's license.
