The transport worker claimed that on the night of August 3, 2019, he was beaten and dragged unreasonably by a group of black-clad police officers, causing injuries to his left ankle and claiming more than 1.6 million yuan from the police.

After the case was heard earlier, the District Court judge issued a verdict today (12th), saying that the evidence of the transport worker was not credible and that he was prejudiced against the police. , and in the court, it was explained that it was a mistake by the hands of the people.

The judge therefore ruled against him and had to pay police costs.

The plaintiff, Xiao Zhixiong (53 years old), the defendant is the Commissioner of Police represented by the Department of Justice.

The judge's verdict pointed out that the allegations in this case are particularly serious, involving police officers beating citizens in the downtown area in full view of the public, but the judge believes that the plaintiff's testimony is not credible.

The number of attackers varies

The judge continued that the plaintiff claimed that he had doubts about the attack and the identity of the attacker at the time of the incident.

For example, the plaintiff claimed that after being pulled down, he was beaten and kicked by a group of black-clothed police officers, and was dragged on the road for about a minute.

However, when the plaintiff complained to the Complaints Bureau, he described being pushed over by a suspected riot police officer and then dragged along.

The judge pointed out that there was a clear discrepancy in the number of attackers he said at the time, and he also questioned the identity of the attackers.

In addition, when he told the ambulance and the CAPO about the incident, he did not mention being punched and kicked.

Said to be kicked in many places but only left foot was injured

The judge also pointed out that the plaintiff claimed that he was punched and kicked for about a minute, hitting his foot, left chest and left calf, and was dragged along, so it was impossible not to be injured.

However, the emergency room of the hospital examined him, and only recorded the injury of his left ankle, and no other injuries were recorded.

Alleging that the plaintiff is biased towards the police

While the plaintiff insisted there was no prejudice against the police, the judge found him to be biased.

For example, the judge pointed out that the plaintiff criticized the police complaint mechanism in the litigation documents for concealing police brutality, and the CAPO also delayed his complaint.

However, he confirmed at trial that it was he who agreed to suspend the handling of the complaint until the case was concluded.

In addition, the plaintiff also described the police officers who attacked him as "they" and "the black-clothed police officers who are inferior to those animals" in the lawsuit documents.

The judge pointed out that the plaintiff failed to prove that he had been attacked, let alone by the police, and ruled against him, and had to pay the defendant's costs.
