Mayor Grundner tapped the first keg of Dorfener Festbier with two hits.
There is a lot to do on the first weekend of the festival.

– Oktoberfest time again at last: Dorfen’s Mayor Heinz Grundner traditionally tapped the first banzen of the festival beer from the Bachmayer brewery on Friday evening, thus opening the 144th folk festival in Isenstadt after what felt like two long years of pandemic break.
Firecrackers announced the start of the folk festival audibly from afar.
Right at the start, the organizers were treated to glorious Wiesn weather and a full festival hall.
"Ozapft is!" Mayor Grundner called out to the thirsty guests from the stage early on Friday evening after the beer had been tapped.
Together with District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer, local prominent politicians and Dorfen dignitaries as well as the new landlords, Ernst Hennel, Tobi Maier and Franz Egerndorfer, a successful folk festival and ten peaceful Oktoberfest days were toasted.
Conclusion: "The festival beer is scho moi sauguad."
And on the very first evening there was a real cracker with the well-known party band "D'Moosner" with their new singer Alex Strebl, known from the TV show "The Voice of Germany".
In no time the mood was great, especially among the many fans of the band.
The traditional Oktoberfest parade takes place this Saturday.
The parade with landlords, celebrities and club delegations starts at 5 p.m. from the Marktkirche in the direction of the Festplatz.
Music bands and splendid teams of horses will be there again.
The Bachmayer, Bräu z'Loh, Kellerbräu and Erdinger Weißbräu breweries will be serving free beers at the Unteren Markt from 4 p.m. to get you in the mood.
In the evening, from 7.30 p.m., the “Munich Stories” will provide entertainment in the Festhalle.
On Sunday, the folk festival opens at 11.30 a.m. under the motto "Day of Traditional Costumes, Farmers and Clubs".
From 2 p.m. the Dorfener and Wasentegernbacher Trachtler show folk dance, Schuhplattln and Goasslschnoizn.
If you like, you can join in the folk dance.
In the evening "Tetrapack" rocks the hall.
You can start the holiday of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary on Monday, August 15th from 9 a.m. with a white sausage breakfast in the festival hall and then marvel at the large vintage car show and the Vespa meeting right next door at the folk festival site.
From 1 p.m. a vintage car parade sets off around Dorfen.
From 6 p.m., the Dorfen town band will be providing cozy entertainment on “Volunteer Day”, to which the town has invited more than 1000 registered volunteers to a beer and chicken beer.

Nobody has to do without the Mass beer, there is a folk festival bus service with four lines around Dorfen.
