"We don't know what happened exactly" said her aunt Simona Bermy-Alzaid.

"She was walking with her friend. The driver who hit her fatally hit her and she died right after the impact. She went to sit with a friend as a farewell to the city because she and her mother moved back to Sderot three weeks ago. Because of the rush that was with the last round, she asked to go freshen up and say goodbye to her friends because She was supposed to start her studies in the ninth grade at the new school in Sderot. Her friend's father called to inform my sister that there had been an accident and that she needed to come to the hospital. The friend who was with her was shocked."

Attorney Yaniv Ya'akov CEO of the Or Yerok association: "Accident follows accident. This is evidence of the difficult reality that Israeli citizens have to face. Years of neglect by the Israeli governments have led us to become a country that is dangerous to drive or cross the road in. The indifference that accompanies the accidents proves that the government of Israel has raised its hands. So far no emergency discussion has been held and no actions have been taken to reduce carnage on the roads as if it were a fate that we have to live with. The Ministry of Transportation and Road Safety must implement the national plan for road safety that was put on their desk a few days ago as soon as possible in order to prevent more families from suffering,
