An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale jolted Morro Bay in Mindanao region in the Philippines today, but no human or material damage was reported.
Reuters quoted the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center as saying that the quake occurred at a depth of ten kilometers.
An earthquake of magnitude 7 struck on the 27th of last July in the northern Philippines, killing 10 people and injuring more than 150, followed by aftershocks that occurred in the mountainous region of the country.
