After 14 years: "Brisant" presenter Mareile Höppner leaves ARD

Mareile Höppner has been presenting the magazine "Brisant" on ARD since 2008, i.e. a full 14 years.
RTL is now announcing her professional change: she is moving to "Extra".
There should also be a successor.
Cologne – Mareile Höppner (45) is one of the moderators at ARD.
For 14 years she has been presenting the magazine "Brisant", which is broadcast Monday to Saturday at 5.15 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. respectively.
Now she is switching back to the station where her career once began.
From ARD from RTL: Mareile Höppner leaves "Brisant" for "Extra"
At the very beginning of her journalistic career, Mareile Höppner was on the radio, after which she went directly to television.
At RTL Nord in Kiel, she was first the weather presenter, then the presenter of "Guten Abend RTL".
From 2009 to 2012 she moderated the MDR talk show "Riverboat", which is presented today by Kim Fisher (53) and Jörg Kachelmann (64).
Since 2008 they have known and loved viewers as the hostess of "Brisant".
Now it's going back to the origins, to RTL, from autumn.
There she will moderate the magazine "Extra" and represent Dieter Könnes (50) and Steffen Hallaschka (50) on "stern TV" and "stern TV am Sonntag".
The show is currently being moderated by Nazan Eckes (46).
According to Bild
, a successor to Höppner on "Brisant"
has already been found: Marwa Eldessouky, who has been working for WDR for twelve years.

In a press release from the private broadcaster, Höppner is quoted as saying: “I'm looking forward to 'coming home'.
And that's RTL for me.
I started at RTL back then and learned to get excited about the job.
People and their stories – that was always my drive and my passion.” She also added to the newspaper

I enjoyed working for ARD for a long time and now I'm looking forward to a new start.
With new possibilities.”

On her Instagram channel, the journalist is currently enjoying her summer vacation with her children.
"I'll be back on TV in two weeks," she let her fans know.
Mareile Höppner keeps sharing insights into her life on the social network, including the fact that Höppner does not have much understanding for people who train on Monday mornings.
