Patrick Kuhfuss managed to lose over 50 kilos during his participation in "The Biggest Loser".

But then the yo-yo effect set in.

Patrick got even heavier than before the show.

Cologne – Patrick Kuhfuss (30) suffered from being overweight all his life.

In 2015 he had had enough and declared war on his pounds.

In "The Biggest Loser" he lost a proud 53.8 kilos and even made it to the final - but after the show the rude awakening should follow.

Patrick can't keep up with "The Biggest Loser".

With a starting weight of almost 150 kilos, Patrick began his journey with the weight loss format of Sat.1.

Under the supervision of Coach Dr.

Christine Theiss (42) tumbled the pounds just like that.

But after the show ended, the notorious yo-yo effect also set in with the branch store manager.

According to studies, this occurs after about two-thirds of all diets.

Back in everyday life, Patrick no longer managed to use the weight loss methods learned on the show.

“During 'The Biggest Loser' I didn't have any commitments.

That made it easy to just do sports.

But to integrate such a workload into everyday life is impossible," reveals the 30-year-old to BILD.

However, he has not learned how to eat healthily himself, Patrick Kuhfuss continues: “For me personally, not enough attention was paid to nutrition.

We bought for us.

It made me not understand how good nutrition works.”

The result: the famous yo-yo effect sets in.

Patrick continues to gain weight, and just two years after the finale, he's 370 pounds, 60 pounds heavier than when The Biggest Loser began. In 2020, at nearly 450 pounds, Patrick becomes depressed

.

"I wanted to correspond to the ideal image so that I feel comfortable with other people," the 30-year-old told BILD.

Patrick Kuhfuss declares war on the kilos again

According to the Robert Koch Institute, 67% of men in Germany are overweight.

Patrick also doesn't want to gain any more weight and declares war on his pounds again.

But this time he gets support from a nutritionist.

With their help, he has now managed to weigh 133 kilos and has come a big step closer to his goal of 90 kilos.

His advice to everyone who also wants to lose weight: "Don't be afraid to ask for help.

It's okay to show weakness no matter what other people think of you."
