An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale struck northwest of the Libyan city of Benghazi.
The Libyan news portal Al-Wasat website stated that the city of Benghazi was subjected to an earthquake that lasted for a few seconds and was felt by the residents.
In turn, the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center indicated on its website that the earthquake occurred in the Mediterranean Sea, 187 km northwest of Benghazi, with a magnitude of 5.3 on the Richter scale and at a depth of 10 km.
