Train drivers in Britain renewed their strike today in protest against the deteriorating economic conditions, which caused disruptions in rail transport.
According to Agence France-Presse, the strike, called by the Union of Train Drivers and Firefighters, included nine local companies, and the advocates considered it the last measure in the face of operators' refusal to approve wage increases for workers who demand it.
Inflation in Britain exceeds nine percent, while the central bank expects it to rise to 13 percent next autumn, coinciding with the rise in energy bills.
It is expected that a strike will be organized on London trains, postal companies and telecommunications to protest the economic conditions in the coming days or weeks.
