After he was released from prison, he said that he had no plans to leave Hong Kong. He also pointed out that Hong Kong was his birthplace. In the future, he would devote his time to work and serving the grassroots.

Recalling his life in prison, Cai Yaochang said that he used exercise every day to pass the time. He lost about 6 kilograms in 8 months in prison, and regular exercise also made him healthier.

In addition, I also read in my spare time. I have read hundreds of books in prison, many of which are Chinese and foreign history and development history, so that I have a more substantial understanding and understanding of the current situation.

Cai Yaochang said that during his time in prison, he experienced severe weather such as severe cold and extreme heat, and felt a lot of torment.

He believes that the environment and facilities of the prison still have room for improvement, and he believes that being imprisoned is already a punishment and should not be treated inappropriately.

The police banned the June 4th Candlelight Gala last year because of the epidemic, but a large number of people still gathered in Victoria Park, including the stake and some pro-democracy activists.
