But only now has a 24-year-old reported to the police in her Gautingen home office against the unknown owner of a dog who had bitten her on a hike in Benediktbeuern and injured her thigh.

Dog owners apologize, but no personal details are exchanged
According to the police, the woman was walking on a hiking trail on the Lainbach near Wurzweg that afternoon when the off-leash dog first growled at her, then ran towards her and finally bit.
The two dog owners, a woman and a man in their mid-30s, probably vacationers, had apologized to the woman.
However, no personal details were exchanged.
When the pain increased, the woman went to the doctor
When the pain after the bite increased later and the 24-year-old went to the doctor, the injury turned out to be more serious than initially thought.
The dog is said to have been a Belgian shepherd.
The other dog the couple had with them was believed to be an Australian Shepherd.
Police are hoping for witnesses to the dog owners
Now the police hopes to be able to identify the two owners through witnesses.
