European Championships in nine sports are currently being held in Munich.
Arzbach raftsman Michael Angermeier plays a special role in awarding the medals.
Arzbach/Munich - The "European Championships" started on Thursday.
Since then, the Arzbach rafting company Angermeier has also played a special role: "We installed a raft on the Olympiasee," reports raftsman Michael Angermeier.
The raft should always be used in the evening for the award ceremony.
“The athletes are transported to a stage in the Olympic lake on a raft,” says Angermeier.

The Arzbacher Flößer brings back memories of the Olympic Games
During the day, a “small raft shuttle” may also be provided for visitors.
The Arzbacher is happy to present the rafting.
Personal memories of the 1972 Olympic Games are also awakened in him.
“I was a torch bearer back then,” he says.
As an active ice hockey player for SC Gaißach, he covered a “few meters” at the height of the Tölz barracks, as he puts it, with a torch in his hand.
The fact that he is now, 50 years later, at a major sporting event in the Olympic Park, "that fits," comments the Arzbacher.
Road bike race on August 14 passes through the county
This Sunday, August 14th, Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen will also be the focus of a European Championship race.
Around 100 kilometers of the men's road bike race lead through the district.
The convoy drives over the Kesselberg and around the Walchensee in the Jachenau.
From there it goes on to Lenggries and through the Tölzer Marktstraße to Geretsried and on to Eurasburg and Münsing.
The start is at 10.15 a.m. in Murnau and the finish is at Odeonsplatz in Munich.
