Ferrari world: RMC Découverte reveals the excess of a one-of-a-kind amusement park

2022-08-13T08:15:41.293Z

The Altice group channel explores the cogs and mechanisms of the park dedicated to the famous Italian car manufacturer.

There is almost no limit to the amusement parks that compete to offer ever more novelties to their visitors.

It has even become a favorite subject of reportage magazines during the summer, such as

Capital

or

Enquête exclusive

on M6.

RMC Découverte is moving into this slot this Tuesday and, before taking us to Europa-park in Germany, it has chosen the United Arab Emirates.

It is on Yas Island, artificially created in 2006 in just three years, and located 30 minutes from the capital Abu Dhabi, that the Ferrari World was created.

A park of 86,000 m2 entirely dedicated to the famous car manufacturer, and in partnership with it.

In addition to its Formula 1 circuit and its luxury hotel complexes, Yas Island, as the documentary indicates, aims, according to the will of its designers, to become the world's No. 1 park for the leisure industry.

There, everything is just excess.

The park is in the shape of a twelve-pointed Arabic star and required 12,000 T of steel.

Its roof, which rises almost 100 meters above the sea, bears a Ferrari logo covering an area of 3000 m2 whose red color does not undergo any alteration under the sun thanks to the use of special materials.

Of course, visitors can, if they wish, get into one of the brand's cars and try it out, being supervised by instructors dubbed by the manufacturer.

But the park does not limit its offer to a few laps.

No less than three roller coasters, beating world speed or height records, are on offer to visitors.

Formula Rossa, for example, whose layout is a replica of the Monza circuit, gives the feeling of being on board

an F1, going from 0 to 240 km/h in 4 seconds.

In the documentary, a French engineer, passionate about roller coasters, explains the technical prowess achieved by manufacturers to achieve such a level of perfection, sensations and safety, while fighting against the heat, the desert wind and the imponderables of any order inherent in the management of such a large park.

Ferraris for juniors

Visitors will also be able to take advantage of the driving simulators and choose between getting behind the wheel of an F1 or a road-going Ferrari: thrills guaranteed, the simulators being updated regularly for ever more astonishing realism.

The documentary continues the visit continues with the many restaurants, because there is something for everyone: from fast food to gourmet, through the reconstruction of the alleys of an Italian village whose establishments offer cuisine led by a chef Italian.

Children are not left out because, if the roller coasters are a little "violent" for them, they can nevertheless enjoy the same attractions in "junior" version, or even drive Ferrari replicas on a track.

While the documentary is largely devoted to the technical feats carried out for the attractions, it also offers a general overview, too long to describe in a few lines, of what visitors and any Ferrari enthusiast will be able to find there.

By way of conclusion, the managers of the park evoke their projects, which are ever more pharaonic but very logical, because they are part of a universe where competition is fierce and is played out with billions.

When we're having fun, we don't count...

because registered in a universe where the competition is ferocious and is played with blows of billions.
