Urban rodeo is still widely practiced a few days after the one that seriously injured two children aged 7 and 11 in Pontoise last week.

The Pontoise court sentenced, this Thursday, August 11, a 21-year-old to four months in prison for refusal to comply and endangering the lives of others.

He had been recognized by the police on Monday August 8, around 9 p.m., while he was riding a scooter in a dangerous way and without wearing a helmet in Garges-lès-Gonesse.

He drove on the sidewalks and slalomed between passing vehicles.

It had taken little for an accident to take place between pedestrians and vehicles on the road.

The scooter could not be seized

That day, the police failed to arrest the young man.

Refusing to stop, he fled.

The next day, a group of police again came across this well-known policeman while on patrol at the Arc-en-ciel shopping center.

They checked his identity and then arrested him without incident.

He was taken to the Sarcelles police station and taken into custody.

The search of the young person's home did not allow the scooter to be found.

During his interrogation, he admitted the refusal to comply but denied having endangered the lives of others in any way.

However, the video recordings clearly showed him in the process of rolling backwards and circulating in a pedestrian square.

These facts exposed during the hearing led to his conviction.
