The amount of loaded and unloaded materials in the Homs Railway Branch since the beginning of this year and until the end of the first half of it amounted to 260,470 tons, in addition to 29,540 cubic meters of gravel.
And the director of the branch, Mohsen Mahmoud, said in a statement to SANA that the unloaded quantities during the same period amounted to 34,865 tons, including unloading 16,589 tons of wheat and 18,276 tons of corn, while the amount of loaded materials amounted to 225,605 tons, including loading 43,776 tons of gravel and 624 tons of sand, in addition to 5160 tons of metal ladders and 176,045 tons of fuel.
Mahmoud pointed to the continuation of work on several important projects, most notably the works of completing the new Khneifis railway in the industrial city of Hassia, with a length of 12 km and linking it with the Syrian railway network, and the project of implementing the works of the upper section of the railway branch to the industrial city in Hasya, in addition to the continuation of work in the port implementation project The dry-water plant in the industrial city, the replacement of the sweet water network in the second station of Homs, and the rehabilitation of the new directorate building in the Kafr Aya station.
