Director of the North American Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Darchiev stressed that Russia has warned the United States and Western countries against destroying international law, violating taboos in diplomatic work, and bringing relations between the two sides to a point of no return.
"The West, led by the United States, has destroyed international law, violated the absolute taboos of diplomatic work, and relations will reach points of no return," Darchiev told the Russian TASS news agency in response to a question about the possibility of downgrading diplomatic relations between Moscow and Washington.
In the same context, Darchiev warned against the legislative initiative being discussed by the US Congress regarding declaring Russia a state sponsor of terrorism, warning that the possibility of approving this initiative would mean Washington crossing the point of no return with serious damage to bilateral relations, including downgrading or even cutting them, explaining that the American side has been informed of this .
