This Saturday morning, at 1:10 a.m., several individuals targeted a police car, which was driving on Avenue Dumont d'Urville in the Beaudottes district, with stone throwing.
Two police officers were slightly injured.
The attackers have not yet been identified.
“There are no arrests at the moment,” confirms the prosecution.
It was the shards of glass from the front window on the passenger side, broken by the projectiles, which hit the two officers in the vehicle.
The ceiling light was damaged and several bullet holes riddled the bodywork.
Contrary to what could have been relayed on social networks earlier in the day, the prosecution specifies that it was not an ambush.
A police vehicle came to help.
"There were a lot of people in the street, so many people that the police had to leave the scene."
An investigation has been opened.
Seven civil servants affected in less than two weeks
This is the third clash in the Beaudottes district between the police and residents in less than two weeks.
On the night of August 2, two police officers had already been victims of mortar and cobblestone fire.
Then, on the evening of August 6, a patrol car was again the target of mortar fireworks, slightly injuring three officials.
In all, over twelve days, seven of them were injured.
The atmosphere in this neighborhood has become tense since the death of one of its inhabitants, Jean-Paul Benjamin, known as “JP”.
A member of the anti-crime brigade had fired a shot at this 32-year-old father who was driving in a van reported as stolen, in Aulnay-sous-Bois.
Several nights of violence followed this tragedy.
