The phenomenon of wild driving does not stop:
a woman in her 30s from Rehovot was arrested today (Saturday) on Route 6 in the Shefala area on suspicion of driving at a real risk to road users as well as damaging vehicles and a police car.
The police surveillance of the driver began after receiving a report at the hotline about a vehicle in which the driver is suspected of committing traffic violations, hitting vehicles and continuing to drive.
In response to this, the police deployed proactive roadblocks along her route.
At one of the checkpoints, the police managed to arrest the woman, not before she hit one of the cars.
After the arrest, the woman was taken to the police for questioning.
In accordance with the needs of the investigation, the police intend to bring her to a hearing at the High Court tomorrow, while requesting the diagnosis of additional professional factors accordingly.
The incident comes after a deadly week on Israel's roads - 18 have been killed in road accidents since the beginning of the week, 225 have been killed since the beginning of the year.
