Today (Saturday) the police opened an investigation into a shooting incident in Baca Algrabia in which a local resident was seriously injured.

The suspicion is that this is a conflict between crime families.

At 12:54 a report was received at the MDA hotline about the shooting victim. MDA medics and paramedics provided medical treatment to a 52-year-old man, who was evacuated in serious condition while being ventilated and sedated. 

"The wounded man was near the road while he was conscious and suffering from penetrating injuries to his body. We gave him life-saving initial medical treatment that included stopping the bleeding and bandages and evacuated him to the hospital when his condition was serious and stable and he was sedated and ventilated," said paramedic Farid Abu Zakika.
