A baby boy has died mysteriously in Tai Kok Tsui.
At nearly 2 am today (13th), a man in the west block of Fugui Building, No. 21 Bowen Street, reported to the police that a 3-month-old baby boy fell into a coma and was confirmed dead after being sent to the hospital.
The forensic examination found that the baby boy had bruises on his right forehead, and burn marks on his left forearm, left calf, right thigh and right instep, and the injuries were considered suspicious.
The police then took over the investigation and arrested a 35-year-old surnamed Ye Nan and his 24-year-old wife, surnamed Lin, on suspicion of "murder."
A police investigation found that the baby boy's biological mother handed over the baby to the care of the arrested couple at the end of last month due to financial problems.
The biological mother and the daughter were arrested as friends, and the two had known each other for several years.
Police are now investigating "murder", "child neglect" and "child abuse".
The arrested couple also has a 9-month-old baby boy, but no mishandling or injuries were reported.

Numerous bruises and burns on baby boy's body are new

The forensic doctor considered the wound suspicious, but could not confirm the cause of death, and further autopsy was required.

Zhao Binghui continued to point out that after a preliminary forensic examination, it was not determined what caused the burns and scars on the boy's body, but it was initially seen that blisters appeared on his body.
Police seized evidence including the baby boy's tools, his clothing and hot household items from the unit for further investigation.
